New Man
New Man celebrates the golden era of racing. Inspired by classic sports cars and vintage chronographs, it combines a warm cream dial with bold red accents and a lacquer-like finish that recalls the automotive paintwork of the 1950s and 1960s.
The result is a watch that feels familiar, nostalgic, and timeless while remaining distinctly modern.
Design
The warm dial tone and lacquer-inspired finish draw from the golden age of racing, capturing the character and richness of classic automotive paint.
The three-dimensional indices are sharply cut and clearly defined, giving the dial stronger depth and structure. Their raised form improves visibility from different angles, while the lume remains visible from any angle — not only from straight ahead.
Generous lume application ensures clear readability after dark. The oversized markers and hands were designed from the beginning with nighttime visibility in mind, filled with Swiss C3 Super-LumiNova.
At 39 mm with a 47 mm lug-to-lug length, the SW0284 was designed for balance and versatility. Shown here on a 7-inch wrist, it offers strong presence without feeling oversized — comfortable for everyday wear and suitable for a wide range of wrist sizes.
The caseback is engraved with an astrolabe-inspired celestial map, honoring the instruments once used to track time, navigate oceans, and observe the heavens — a reminder that timekeeping began long before the wristwatch.
The case was designed as a simple frame for the dial. Its bezel-free unibody construction minimizes visual distractions, keeping the dial the focal point while preserving the watch's clean circular form and removing unnecessary weight.
